Cloud Saves Disappear If Your Nintendo Switch Online Subscription Ends

For those who really want to get that authentic NES experience, Nintendo revealed new pairs of Switch-compatible NES controllers. Thankfully, cloud saves will be coming to the console in five days via Nintendo Switch Online, but there are some major caveats.

On top of access to online play and a library of classic NES games, one of the perks of subscribing to the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service is "special offers" available exclusively for members.

The Nintendo Switch Online service rolls out on September 18 in North America and September 19 in Europe and Japan. Sony locks its cloud saves behind the PS+ membership but they are kept for around 6 months or so.
