Four-camera Samsung Galaxy A9 tipped for A Galaxy Event launch

According to Korean publication ET News, the three-sensor camera will only be included in the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, the alleged ultra-premium model of a three-model lineup.

Samsung will unveil a new Galaxy device next month that offers "4X the fun". Then we are asked to "capture the fun with Samsung" as the company celebrates the launch of the new device.

Samsung did just give its latest smartwatch the Galaxy moniker, so it may be a separate part of the business that's also being absorbed into the G name. That'll be the same way Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S4 tablet last month.

"We know you're excited to get your new Samsung Galaxy Note 9".

It is easy to interpret the wording of the invite as a sign Samsung will release a device with four cameras. But it seems pretty likely it'll be camera-related. The ETNews report says that this model will be the ultra-premium offering, with a premium offering sporting a single front camera and a triple rear camera setup, and a standard version featuring a single front and a dual rear camera setup. I don't know, the number of colours that the Galaxy S10 is available in. Perhaps that means this will be the first phone to come with four cameras?
