Hurricane Florence Looks Downright Terrifying From Space

NASA itself uploaded a video of Hurricane Florence that was taken by the high-definition camera located outside the International Space Station.

European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst tweeted pictures taken 249 miles above the eye of the storm. Get prepared on the East Coast, this is a no-kidding nightmare coming for you.

A view of Hurricane Florence from the International Space Station.

Viewed through the wide-angle camera of the International Space Station which orbits at 250 miles (400 kilometers) above Earth, Hurricane Florence appears swirling above the Atlantic Ocean as it's moving west-northwest towards the North and SC. "It's chilling, even from space", Gerst captioned the photos.

Up to 10 million people lie in the path of the storm, which still poses a risk to life and property, although it has been downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane.
