Unai Emery wants Ozil to score more goals for Arsenal

Unai Emery wants Ozil to score more goals for Arsenal

The midfielder said, "I am very happy to play for Arsenal and especially for the new coach".

Emery said of the player's reaction: "It is normal".

"We are happy with this victory and we are improving but we also need to continue working individually and collectively to improve more things".

The mercurial Ozil started his first match at St James' in any competition with the words of his boss Emery ringing in his ears after he asked the creative playmaker to give more in terms of his performances.

"We conceded a lot of chances to counter-attack in transition and a lot of chances from corners and possibilities to arrive into our box". We want his performance in each training day and in each match to give us his quality.

"We score and we are happy, even the players that don't play, we are all team".

It was the second time Torreira has been thrown on right after the break, and he helped Arsenal control the midfield until Ciaran Clark pulled a goal back in injury time.

Arsenal were putting themselves in trouble with Newcastle taking advantage of the slow build-up play of the visitors, but it would not lead to any shots on goal from the home team.

Where do you think Arsenal will finish this season?

Emery explained: "Every player is the same".

Speaking in an interview with Sporting Bet, Winterburn said: "With less than a year remaining on his contract, Ramsey is in a very strong negotiating position and is also a very attractive proposition for a lot of big clubs around Europe".

"That defeat hurt me more than the Tottenham one, or the Man City one, or the Chelsea one, because I don't think Arsenal are that good a team". It was not a big problem but he was exhausted.

Ramsey is nearly certainly going to be among the players given a rest in midweek as Emery is expected to heavily rotate his starting eleven for our Europa League opener with Vorskla at the Emirates. The summer signing from Bayer Leverkusen has been on the bench for all five league games so far, with Emery keeping Petr Cech as his No. 1.

"But I am only thinking about the best performance for Thursday".
