Marko Arnautovic Would Like To Leave West Ham To Play In UCL

He should play for the worldwide spots.

Arnautovic has scored five goals in 10 Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far this season but has been linked with a move to a top-six club, with Manchester United now the favourites for his signature.

Speaking to Austrian newspaper Kurier (h/t Metro Sport), the striker said, "I'm 29, so that's the best age".

Chelsea and Everton are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Marko Arnautovic, according to his agent.

When you talk about him being a big part of West Ham, it's a massive part of West Ham.

"So it's very hard because of the dressing room area, I don't know how influential he is in the dressing room area at West Ham".

However Arnautovic, who has his brother Danijel as his agent, has conceded he would like to play at a higher level.

Arnautovic has fuelled speculation over his future at West Ham in the last couple of days. "For that to happen, he has to play for a top team", he said.

Arnautovic was reportedly a target of Manchester United in the summer but it is believed West Ham blocked the move.

Chelsea fans will need some convincing that Arnautovic is up to the standard required to feature in our front-line, but we ought to get used to the idea of the club targeting him. "But you also get the feeling this can not be the end".

Arnautovic, who moved to east London in the summer of 2017 from Stoke for a then club record fee worth up to £25m, has been in outstanding form since being handed a more central role by former manager David Moyes last season, and scored 11 Premier League goals last term.

Danijel also admitted Arnautovic was "very, very close" to departing West Ham in the summer. Pellegrini is understood to be in favour of handing the 31-year-old a deal until the end of the season with an option to extend his stay.
