NASA’s Hubble Telescope spots cute smiling face in house

Here, nestled among a sea of galaxies, is a clear and unmistakable smiley face - two bright blobs suspended above a streak of light. Hubble Space Telescope's Wide Field Camera 3 is capable of seeing distant galaxies in unparalleled resolution, yet, high enough to locate and study regions where new stars are forming.

Just below centre is a formation of galaxies akin to a smiling face. In this case, a light from a far-away galaxy is being distorted by an unidentified object, causing it to look like a mouth. The arc-shaped object is actually a galaxy whose shape has been distorted because its light passed near a massive object en route to Earth.

Analyzing the luminosity, size and rate of formation of young stars in such images, the NASA researchers hope to better understand how stars are formed in cold parts of the Universe.

Scientists from NASA said that with the assistance of the powerful Hubble telescope, they are able to get some pretty interesting information that is message from space. These massive clouds, or stellar nurseries, grow unstable and begin to collapse under gravity, becoming the seeds that will grow into new stars.

Galaxy is located at a distance of 100 million light years from Earth.
