Saints' Michael Thomas Channels Joe Horn With Cellphone TD Celebration

On Monday, the National Football League announced that the Week 11 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints will move from 1:00 p.m. ET to 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

Horn was fined $30,000 when he pulled a similar stunt 15 years ago, but that was also his second violation of that season, according to ESPN. He said, "I watched the YouTube video before the game".

It's was also pretty cool that Thomas thought to do it, and even had a chance to do the celebration. "We don't want to corrupt the game like that". But Thomas' play on Sunday was nothing short of spectacular.

But, Vick clearly didn't feel the same way. saying the old, cell-phone-under-the-goal-post routine is bad for the sport!

It took a while for the Fox booth to acknowledge the connection between Thomas' celebration and Horn celebration, but they recognized it at the end of the game.

"When your man has done something legendary like that, your kickoff team has to go cover for him", running back Mark Ingram said. Just last month when the team last played in New Orleans against the Redskins, Thomas came out of the tunnel wearing a ski mask.

Joe Horn is a Saints legend.

"You've got to have fun", Thomas said.

Horn, now 46, told Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune he was working out by himself in a gym in MS when he witnessed Thomas' tribute. All these guys just catching touchdowns and celebrating with each other, having fun, getting the crowd involved. "I felt had an opportunity to make it happen, put the game away and make the call".
