Samsung reveals details about its flagship processor that will power Galaxy S10

A number of details about the Galaxy S10, Samsung's upcoming Android flagship, have been revealed on Tuesday as part of the most credible leak pertaining to the device to date.

Going that route could be hard for some Galaxy fans to swallow, so it wouldn't surprise us in the least if Samsung tried to downplay the move with a smaller notch, or punch hole, as it were. The 9820 builds on the strengths of this year's 9810 - which powered the global variants of the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 - by introducing a fourth-gen CPU and an LTE modem that can hit up to 2Gbps with 8x carrier aggregation.

According to the agency's sources, the Galaxy F will likely cost around 2 million won (about US$1,770 or RM4,903) and be officially unveiled in March, just a month after the flagship Galaxy S10 is announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (February 25-28, 2019). With an enhanced architecture design, the Exynos 9820's new fourth-generation custom core delivers around 40 percent improvement in power efficiency when compared to its predecessor. The device will be supporting up to 22MP single sensors or 16MP + 16MP dual sensors.

Upgrade fatigue is believed to be one of the main reason why global smartphone shipments have been stagnating over the course of the previous year, according to numerous industry trackers.
