US Retailers already kicking off Black Friday with big deals

Speaking with reporters yesterday, Walmart US Chief Merchandising Officer Steve Bratspies said the company is planning to offer "hundreds of the most wanted items"-including TVs, iPhones, toys, and cookware sets-"at the best prices".

Vizio TVs are already great value for your money, but especially so with $100 off for Black Friday. Of course, RCA isn't exactly a top-tier PC brand, but that price is $30-$40 lower than we've seen so far for any laptop running Windows that we've previewed as a Black Friday deal.

The countdown to one of the biggest shopping events in the calendar year has now begun, with millions of shoppers worldwide hoping to bag a bargain on Black Friday.

There's no word in Walmart's announcement about any guaranteed inventory, although there is mention of "more inventory" this year.

There are a number of discounts in Walmart's Entertainment category that you shouldn't worry about passing by, including budget Bluetooth speakers and tablets and a bunch of video games and Blu-rays.

The company says the deals will be available in-store starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
