Shocking article says Priyanka's love marriage is 'scam'

After spending some time in Delhi for a red carpet appearance, the newlyweds were spotted arriving at an airport in Mumbai where they got married over the weekend and will host another wedding reception.

A web archive of the article is still up, albeit with all mentions of the word "scam" deleted. Among them were Priyanka's brother-in-law, DNCE's lead singer, Joe Jonas and sister-in-law, Game of Thrones star, Sophie Turner. In one photo, we witness the nervous Priyanka while in the other, we see both Priyanka and Nick indulging in fun and laughter while exchanging the garlands.

Nick Jonas has never shied away from flirting with his Lady Love on social media. And the reception night was no different.

Regarding the article, while speaking to HindustanTimes, Priyanka said she did not want to react to such "random things". "It accused Priyanka of trapping Nick Jonas into a fraudulent relationship and being a 'global scam artist".

In her first post-wedding interview, Priyanka told NDTV about the wedding: 'I've spoken in front of heads of state, on the most prolific stages of the world but I was most afraid on this day. Netizens also pointed out the writer's ignorance of Hindu traditions and of Chopra's star power before she met Jonas.

This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. It's not even in my stratosphere. "Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bullshit". I'm in a happy place at this moment. "These kinds of random things can't disturb it".

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who recently tied the knot with beau Nick Jonas in fairytale wedding ceremonies in Jodhpur, has changed her name on Instagram.

Actresses Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Sona Mohapatra called the article disgusting, racist, sexist and baseless. "We've removed it and apologise".
