Ubisoft teases something Fallout-esque for Far Cry

It's basically the gaming world's equivalent of the Golden Globes, if the Golden Globes were occasionally sponsored by Dorito's, or undrinkable new flavors of Mountain Dew.

If you want to get a feel for what a Far Cry game entails, be sure to check out Far Cry 5 at retailers. Teasing a full announcement for The Game Awards tomorrow night (which Alice Prime will be burning the midnight oil to cover), the trailer below gives us a little taste of the things to come.

Just a few moments ago, the publisher released a new teaser trailer for what seems to be a new Far Cry game entirely. Plus, The Game Awards' Geoff Keighley basically confirmed as much in a response to someone on Twitter.

Tune into the Game Awards for the world premiere of the next Far Cry. As you may remember, Far Cry 5 ended in Hope County essentially blowing out, so it looks like that could be continued. It's likely it won't be a follow-up to 2018's "Far Cry 5", seeing as it's only been out in the wild for months, but it could potentially be a spin-off of the core game or set in the same rural area of Montana. My money's on something similar to Far Cry Primal - a full-scale game, featuring a new setting, that largely reuses the basic map/geography of a previous game.
