Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey agrees five-year deal with Juventus worth £36m

However, despite his influence on the Gunners, talks over a new contract were unexpectedly halted earlier this season, when the North London club rescinded their offer of a new deal and informed him that he was free to leave.

It will however make him Juventus's second-highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo, but ahead Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

The former Wales captain has been promised a significant role in the club implying that he is likely to be a central figure in a three man midfield preferred by Max Allegri.

Ramsey has made over 350 appearances for Arsenal since signing from Cardiff in 2008.

He has now reportedly agreed a deal with Juventus, and the pre-contract will be signed in the coming days when his agent flies to Italy to meet the Juventus board.

However, according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are eager to bring Ramsey in as soon as possible and have lined up for the midfielder to fly out to Turin to complete his medical after the West Ham game on Saturday with Arsenal's permission.

'My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is with us, ' Emery said. I asked in the last match at Blackpool if he is OK to help us play and he said, "Yeah, coach, I want to play" and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us. Every day he's here with us, he's working very well.

Despite agreeing a deal with Juventus, a lot can still change for Ramsey between now and the end of the season.

"We can not sign permanently".

Chelsea's policy is to never sell when a player's perceived value is low, so instead they organise a loan first.

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, who Emery had on loan during his time at Sevilla, has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates.
