Chelsea striker Morata agrees personal terms with Atletico Madrid

Piatek has already scored 13 goals in Serie A this season - just one fewer than Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo - and once that deal has been finalised, Milan would be open to terminating Higuain's loan agreement early allowing him to join Chelsea.

Higuain's arrival will clear the way for Alvaro Morata to leave on loan in January, with Atletico Madrid interested in giving him an opportunity to revive his career in the Spanish capital.

The Argentina striker, who excelled under Sarri at Napoli, is now on loan at AC Milan from Juventus and is 31, so any possible deal would be a complicated one and contrary to Chelsea's normal strategy by recruiting a player aged over 30.

'I want to be honest with you all.

Chelsea lie fourth in the Premier League, although Sarri lambasted his players in the aftermath of Saturday's 2-0 London derby loss to Arsenal, accusing them of lacking motivation and a strong mentality.

"I accept his decision".

We know very well we will have to fight for the top four until the end I think.

Sarri confirmed that Morata is available for the Arsenal game, but added: "Of course, for him, I think it's a very hard moment". So, every player, I remember, was very involved in Higuain's record. So I think that he's available. "Then, like in the last match, I can choose something different [up front]".

Chelsea are still deliberating over whether to grant Sarri's second wish of a like-for-like midfield replacement for Cesc Fabregas to ease the load on Jorginho, having carefully considered Leandro Paredes, who is now linked with Paris St-Germain, and Cagliari's Nicolo Barella.

"You can find yourself in difficulties from time to time, but we need to react to those difficulties a lot better than we did today".

"I spoke with Marina two weeks ago, so Marina knows my opinion on how to improve the team. So I'm not frustrated at the moment".
