Dashcam Captures Moment Toddler in Car Seat Falls Out of Moving Vehicle

Motorist Chad Mock, who was driving with his dashboard camera rolling, was following a small four-door sedan as it traveled around a slight curve on Cherry Street. At the next stop light, you can see the door close and the vehicle continuing to drive away from the scene.

The chilling video shows the little girl, who was wearing a pink coat and grey leggings, on her side in the detached auto seat on the road in Mankato, Minnesota.

"When I saw the child move, that's when I moved in to block off traffic and get myself out of the middle of the street".

A 2-year-old girl in a vehicle seat flew out from the side of a moving auto on Monday in Minnesota, and the moment was captured in a dash cam video of a driver who rushed to save the child.

The child was placed into a vehicle and transported to the Hy Vee parking lot until the police arrived.

"I couldn't believe what I was seeing at first", Mock wrote on Facebook, where he posted the video that has been shared thousands of times.

As concerned drivers also came to help, Mock picked the child up and told the others what just happened.

A motorist has been dealt a shock after he turned a corner to find a child strapped into a vehicle seat lying in the middle of the busy road.

It is not known how the vehicle door opened.

The child was released to her mother, he said.

She could now face a child endangerment charge.
