Family kicked off American Airline flight due to complaints about body odor

"All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, 'Sorry, sir, some people complained you had body odor and we're not letting you back on, '" he told the station.

"We stopped several people in the airport and, it's embarrassing, but we asked them, "Do you think we smell?"

'I want them to own up to what really happened and to tell me the truth, ' he said.

"Mr. Adler and his wife were removed from the flight when several passengers complained about their body odor", the airline told WPLG. The airline said the family was booked into a hotel for Wednesday night and given meal vouchers. However, they were surprised that they got kicked out of their American Airlines flight.

Not because of an altercation or a drunken rampage. but because other passengers had complained about their body odor.

"We have the same clothes, no vehicle seat or stroller for the baby and they have the audacity to say, 'Don't let it happen again tomorrow, '" Yossi Adler said.

"They have our auto seat, stroller, everything", Jennie Adler said.

"I said it's because of my religion you kicked me off the plane - it's anti-Semitism that you kicked me off the plane", said Adler.

Adler says they did get their luggage back when they returned to Detroit on Thursday. "Nobody here has odor", Adler can be heard saying in the cellphone footage.

American Airlines booted Yossi and Jennie Adler and their 19-month-old daughter from a Miami flight because of their alleged body odor. The couple told WPLG that they wanted to know the real reason why they were kicked off their flight.

The airline's decision prompted an argument between the family and ground crew staff that was captured by Adler on video.

American Airlines insisted the reason it kicked the family off the plane was their scent and not because they are Jewish.

The Adlers made it back to Detroit on Thursday and were reunited with their luggage.

Adler says things only got worse when he and his family got to the gate to set up a different flight. He thought we don't take showers.
