Nokia 9 PureView press render leaked, reveals penta-lens camera setup

With MWC 2019 around the corner, and CES next week, it's definitely the time of the year to be watching the mobile space. According to Nokia Anew's sources, HMD Global plans to launch its next-generation flagship in late January.

Here's what we know about the Nokia 9 PureView. Now a well-known tipster has shared an image of the Nokia 9 PureView while also providing a codename for the device, and there are several things we can see from this render, and we'd like to share that with you. But it turns out there's also a promo video making the rounds, which mentions the Nokia 9's main specs as well as some of its camera tricks.

"Is that an LG G6 slapped with a five-camera setup on the back?" a comment reads. Today, a new promo video (below) obtained by MySmartPrice has unveiled the internal specifications. While the back features a 3D dual-curve design, the front appears to be flat.

Previous PureView-branded devices include the Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020, it added.

The Nokia 9 PureView will not be a notched display like some of the recently launched Nokia phones like Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.1 and the rest. The latest is a new look at the Nokia 9 PureView - an upcoming five-lens camera phone that could be coming sooner that anyone expected. At the moment, it's not clear how the five-lenses camera setup works. The leak also suggests that the smartphone will be a part of Android One group of phones and will come with Android 9 out-of-the-box. This, if true, will make the Nokia 9 PureView the first in-display fingerprint sensor phone from HMD. The Nokia 9 is said to feature full-screen Full HD+ or Quad HD+ panel with slimmer bezels. As for hardware specifications, because the Nokia 9 PureView was meant to launch in 2018 and not 2019, it will retain the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and not the newly launched Snapdragon 855.
