Vivo Apex 2019 announced with Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM, full-screen fingerprint

The Super Unibody design and Full-Display Fingerprint Scanning technology, among several other breakthrough features, make APEX 2019 a truly exceptional smartphone that demonstrates Vivo's continuous exploration and pursuit of exceptional innovation for consumers. So there is every reason to think this handset will continue using a pop-up front camera design like its predecessor. Flip the phone on its back and it literally has two cameras, a flash, the branding, and a barely visible set of magnetic connector points that I suspect will be for modular attachments like a jack or physical buttons or perhaps a SIM to eSIM converting device.

Meizu Zero vs Vivo Apex: Both of these are concept smartphones, which means that there is no release date or pricing details, and they might never be launched.

Vivo will be exhibiting its prototype of the Apex 2019 at the MWC 2019 at the end of February where we will be able to find out more and carry out our personal hands-on.

Renders of the Vivo APEX 2019 were leaked earlier this week showing off the phone from all angles.

The vivo Apex 2019, like Meizu's phone, uses a combination of capacitive touch and pressure-sensing to replace the standard power and volume buttons on the sides.

The Vivo Apex 2019, as the company has made a decision to name it in order to differentiate it from the Apex prototype showed off in February past year, comes with quite a few interesting features.

The smartphone features a 6.39 inch AMOLED display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution. With Vivo's technology, however, there will be more sensors under the screen so that the user can unlock his new Apex 2019 by touching nearly all areas of the display. Although there's no clear information, for now, we believe the selfie camera will sit on the top bezel of the phone much like the newly launched Meizu Zero. As for the battery, we do not know what's the capacity. However, also akin to 2018, Vivo might launch a fully functional variant of this device. The company is attending the MWC 2019 event in Barcelona, which means that it may announce the APEX 2019 there. But unlike that phone, charging and connectivity aren't wireless; they're performed using the connector pins on the back. The device will come with 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage.
