Warnock Slams Liverpool Over Failed Clyne Promise

Klopp has said, however, that Liverpool will "probably not" look to replace him by signing another striker in the January transfer window.

Southampton and Fenerbahce are both interested in the 30-year-old.

Solanke, who moved to Anfield in the summer of May 2017 for an undisclosed compensation fee as a former academy player, made 27 appearances in his first season but has yet to feature in the current campaign.

A number of other clubs registered their interest in the player but it is Bournemouth who have secured his signature.

Bournemouth, however, won the race for Clyne's signature, on a loan deal until the end of the season, and following Cardiff's shock FA Cup defeat to Gillingham, Warnock expressed his frustrations over the deal. "I would rather go out and find another club which would give me the opportunities to play games".

"For Dominic it was absolutely right to go".

As a manager as you can imagine having an option like Clyney is good. It was a bit unlucky for him in the moments when there was space for him to come into the team that he had injuries.

Then he got the back problem and nobody knew how long it would take, and it took quite a while.

"He trained pretty well but it's hard to maintain confidence when you're not playing particularly at that age".

Asked if he wants to bolster his squad still further, Howe replied: "It's hard to say with clarity, yes or no, at this point; we're still looking at certain areas". Knowing you are fit and you can play but constantly not getting selected for the team is disappointing, ' said Clyne.

"He didn't play a lot for Chelsea".

"And Bournemouth made a good offer, to be honest".

But the 21-year-old has scored just one Premier League goal in his entire career.

"You have to think about: 'Could there be a moment in the next half year where the situation would have changed for him?' Maybe yes".

Warnock said: 'To see it on television when I've done everything right and they've promised he's my player this week - for me, it's a disgrace and just a lack of class.
