Winter Storm Watch Issued for Extreme Southern Maryland

Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories have been issued for IL and through Missouri.

Winter Storm Watches & Warnings are lined up just south & southwest of our viewing area.

Meteorologists predict periods of light snow late Saturday and again Sunday across Maryland, with at most a few inches of total accumulation.

The storm will move into the Kansas City area Friday, starting out as rain and drizzle that will transition to a wintry mix Friday afternoon.

Many roads will be slick, with travel most hazardous Saturday morning.

The system will be moving out of the Kansas City, MO area by kick-off of the Chiefs vs. Colts game.

There's a chance for lingering snow overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning as the storm system moves out of the area, across central Missouri. Be careful if you plan to travel toward southern OH this weekend. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid 30s, but afternoon wind chills will be in the mid to upper 20s.
