Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Why She Embraces Her Twitter Trolls

Conceived by Devil's Due publisher Josh Blaylock, the one-shot, titled Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force: New Party, Who Dis?

"We're seeing people activate and educate themselves", Ocasio-Cortez said, "and mobilize, and make wonderful art, and hit the streets, and run for office, and that's really when our country's at its best".

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Gov. Andrew Cuomo, both Democrats from NY, were mentioned specifically, with Scott claiming that their policies would not be good for Amazon. "Because if you're just flying under the radar, just trying to get your check, like not rock the boat-then what's the point of being in politics?"

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said Friday that she would probably be teaching high school if President Donald Trump hadn't won in 2016.

During an appearance on Showtime's "Desus and Mero" talkshow, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about the abuse she gets from Twitter trolls and Russian bots. "Thanks for nothing, AOC!" the billboard read, blaming the congresswoman for Amazon's decision to scrap plans for a NY headquarters.

"This time around, we wanted to create something that celebrates the fresh new energy and diversity of the stagnated legislative body and help some good causes at the same time", publisher Josh Blaylock said in a statement. The billboard was purchased by the Job Creators Network, a group advocating for free enterprise.

Neither the billboards or the press release addressed the issue of the JCN's funding or the dig the congresswoman made about their location in Times Square as not being for New Yorkers. "I mean, it shows that everyday Americans still have the power to organize and fight for their communities and they can have more say in this country than the richest man in the world", she said, referring to Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos.
