K-pop group BTS 'to present award at the Grammys'

BTS will reportedly be appearing at the 2019 Grammy Awards! Their "Love Yoursef: Tear" album and its art director, HuskyFox, could take home the best recording package trophy if they beat St. Vincent's "Masseduction", Mitski's "Be the Cowboy", the Chairman's "The Offering", and Foxhole's "Well Kept Thing".

News of BTS' scheduled appearance quickly went viral, with the hashtag #BTSxGrammys trending on Twitter on Monday evening.

Thanks to an unbelievable 2018, in which they became the first Korean act to top the Billboard album charts twice, there was some upset that the group did not get nominated for Best New Artist.

The band's record label also says they'll present a music prize but the Grammys hasn't confirmed whether or not the band will be there.

Nevertheless, the 2019 Grammys will still have many big names performing or presenting awards.

Grammy Awards

BTS, which has seen vast global success in recent years, charmed tens of thousands of Singapore fans last month during their sold-out show at the National Stadium. They became the first Korean act to score a No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Love Yourself: Tier past year.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Grammy Awards will be hosted by the American singer, Alicia Keys.

Fans will definitely enjoy this year's Grammy Awards with the performance of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Diana Ross, Cardi B, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, and Ricky Martin, per Globalnews.

The rap superstar Kendrick Lamar leads the Grammys with eight nominations.
