Nicki Minaj pulls out of BET concert over offensive tweet

It was recently reported that Nicki Minaj tweeted to announce that she and Lil Wayne, will be no longer performing at BET Experience, a pre-BET Awards concert. In noting Cardi B's historic Best Rap Album victory at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, BET wrote that "Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront". Not only did she canceled her upcoming performance at the BET Experience this summer, but she also said that the entire Young Money roster would not be in attendance at the BET Award show.

BET is apologising after a tweet offended Nicki Minaj forcing her to cut ties with the network. Nicki has paved the way for so many performers and has solidified her place as one of the most powerful figures in the music industry. While the tweet was swiftly deleted, Minaj's fans flooded the network's social media accounts in support of the rapper.

Adding, "Unfortunately the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written". "We have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward".

BET has officially released a statement apologizing to Minaj, according to Pitchfork. "And further does not reflect our company values", read the statement.
