Priyanka Chopra explains why she took Nick Jonas' surname

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had a spectacular wedding in 2018 and we still can't get over how gorgeous the wedding was. She opened up about her decision when she appeared on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' to promote her Hollywood movie 'Isn't It Romantic'.

"I always wanted to add his last name to mine because I feel like we're becoming family", she told Fallon.

'I'm a little traditional and old school like that'.

The "Quantico" actress has added the singer's surname to hers since they tied the knot in December but chose to keep her name too because she doesn't want to "take away" her identity and instead "add" him to who she is. After stressing out about finding the ideal location, it was her husband's sweet suggestion that sealed the deal for India.

Priyanka and 26-year-old Nick were officially married at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, on December 1, 2018, though the celebration, of course, didn't end there. I did not understand the gravity of it when I got married.

Priyanka further talked about why she made a decision to write a book Unfinished which will be published this year. "Nick said: Why aren't we doing this in India? Shouldn't I be taking my bride from her home?'" When Jimmy asked about it, she revealed, "Don't you go out with friends and you do something cute and someone takes a picture?" However, everything in Jonas' home works perfectly, according to her.

While Comparing her house with Nick's she said, "Now nothing works in my house because I am never in my house, my coffee machine doesn't work, the air-conditioning makes a sound". It's cute, my house is attractive, but nothing works. "Even my doorbell doesn't work now". His house is just ideal.

My dog peed on his carpet the first day, and it's a white carpet too! "Before he came home, I went through everything. cleaners, baking soda, scrubbing, but he still noticed".

The Ambanis, who reached Jodhpur on Saturday just ahead of the sangeet ceremony, were spotted sitting front row with Chopra and her mother.
