Whoopi Goldberg insists friend Liam Neeson is 'not a bigot'

Amidst the current controversy around Liam Neeson, a 2014 interview with The Guardian has resurfaced in which the actor admits to racially profiling fellow passengers during flights.

Although the 66-year-old Northern Irish actor has gone on to declare he is not a racist, Allen remains unconvinced and later published on her Instagram stories that she believes him to be 'disgusting'.

"I really hope it's not too late to digitally erase that racist f**k Liam Neeson from the new Men In Black movie", wrote one Twitter user.

This was rejected by Blackwood, who said: "One thing no one has addressed is that he said he felt ashamed for the revengeful act that he was going to carry out, did he say that he was ashamed he referred to black people as black b's?"

'You can't be surprised that somebody whose loved one is attacked is angry and wants to go out and attack'.

The actor made the astonishing admission as he discussed his latest film about a father's quest for revenge against a drug baron after his son is killed.

Whoopi Goldberg has defended her friend Liam Neeson after he came under fire for controversial comments in a recent interview and insisted that he is not a bigot.

Michelle Rodriguez has come forward to defend her "Widows" co-star Liam Neeson against claims that he's racist after he admitted he once wanted to kill a black man after his friend was raped. I had a primal urge. "I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I'd be approached by somebody", he told the publication. "Then, 12 minutes into what turned out to be a 17-minute interview, I asked Neeson a question about his character in 'Cold Pursuit, ' and as we now know, everything changed". "It's terrible, but I did learn a lesson from it".

"I did it four, maybe four or five times, until I caught myself and it really shocked me, this primal urge". When she came back she told me about this and she handled the situation herself with incredible bravery, I have to say that.

"I'm not racist, this was almost 40 years ago, but because I was brought up in the north of Ireland, I was brought up in the Troubles in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. I went to my priest and had two very good friends I spoke to". "If she said "WHITE" would he have been roaming the streets looking to KILL a random white man??" It shocked me and it hurt me.
