A New Challenger for PUBG-M from Activision — Meet COD Mobile

A New Challenger for PUBG-M from Activision — Meet COD Mobile

At a GDC event today, Tencent and Activision announced a free-to-play mobile game 'Call of Duty: Mobile, ' that is along the lines of Black Ops and Modern Warfare franchises. "With our expertise creating games custom-built for mobile players, we're excited to deliver a new, feature-packed Call of Duty experience that all types of fans will enjoy". Activision is also advertising fan-favorite maps Nuketown and Crash as a part of the mobile game. There is no mention of a Battle Royale mode just yet. The developer also advises that Call of Duty Mobile is optimised for high-end phones, but it can be playable on some mid-range devices on Android and iOS platforms.

Call of Duty is one of the most popular first-person shooter games on console and PC, and publisher Activision has now confirmed it's coming to smartphones too in the shape of Call of Duty: Mobile. Those who've never played the game that much to be familiar with these names will have to adapt on the go ... literally.

Although the Call of Duty franchise has made a few visits to the mobile realm so far, a new title is nearly ready to roll out.

"Call of Duty is synonymous with incredible quality and gameplay, and our team couldn't be happier working together with Activision to bring it to life on mobile", added Steven Ma, SVP, . We don't know when you'll be able to play it, but it's not officially coming and you can pre-register for it.

There doesn't appear to be any hint of a single-player campaign in the trailer, but fans have picked up on a shot appearing to show a fleet of helicopters preparing to dispatch multiple soldiers onto a large map. However, the public beta won't be rolled out until summer, and it's not going to be available to everyone.

A release date nor a release window have been provided with the initial announcement, but Activision says to expect more information later this year.
