Australian PM slams disgusting remarks by Senator

He then lunged for him again, throwing another punch before the two were separated and a group of adult men tackled the 17-year-old, pinned him to the floor and held him in a chokehold.

Senator Fraser Anning has been egged at an organised event in Melbourne which saw protestors and supporters of the controversial identity clash in wild scenes.

QUEENSLAND senator Fraser Anning has been caught on camera smacking a teenage boy in the face twice after he cracked an egg over his head at a press conference in Melbourne.

In these very dark times, at least we have people like eggboi to carry on the good fight.

The footage showed Anning being watched eagerly by the young man, before he gets his phone out, starts filming, and smashes the egg.

Sen. Fraser Anning, a member of Australia's right-wing "One Nation" party, released a statement calling Islam a "savage belief" and that Muslims were "not blameless" in the attack.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has called an Australian senator's comments on the Christchurch mosque shootings "disgusting". Stating that he was opposed to "any form of violence", Anning claimed that the atrocity highlighted the "growing fear over an increasing Muslim presence", in both New Zealand and Australia.

In a Friday tweet, Anning asked: "Does anyone still dispute the link between Muslim immigration and violence?"

Mr Morrison said there had been discussions between Senators Mathias Cormann and Penny Wong about a bipartisan motion when Parliament returns in April.

Even our Minister of Economic Affairs Azwan Ali gave him a piece of his mind.

Mr Shorten said Senator Anning was "chasing a headline" and wondered whether his comments had made Australians less safe overseas.

"What is worse, by spreading hatred and turning Australians against each other, he is doing exactly what the terrorists want", Turnbull said.

About 60 people attended the meeting in an industrial part of the suburb at which Senator Anning spoke.

"Let us be clear, while Muslims may have been the victims today, they are usually the perpetrators", Anning wrote.
