With the Game Developers Conference going on right now, Nintendo is broadcasting another Direct-style presentation this week, this one focusing on indie games.

The old favourite term "roguelike" got rolled out again for this one, but Double Fine's trademark humour (glimpsed in the trailer reveal as studio head Tim Shafer put in a cameo appearance) should help stop this particular apocalypse from getting stodgy - we'll find out more this summer. Playing the game on a console with such a big focus on local co-op really reminds Jared and I of days gaming together as kids.

Nintendo and Studio MDHR announced on today's "Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Spring 2019" that platforming and shooting game Cuphead is coming to Switch on April 18. "Fans will now have the opportunity to experience StudioMDHR's award-winning debut game on Nintendo Switch with Xbox Live!" There's also DLC coming, which will be released alongside the Xbox One and PC versions. Since then, a port for macOS has extended the number of players with access to the title, and Nintendo is now looking to expand that playerbase even further with Cuphead's release on Switch.
