Disney Grants Your Wish With Aladdin's First Full Trailer

Disney has released the official trailer for its live-action Aladdin, which is ramping up for its May 24 theatrical bow. It may seem like a small nitpick, but it points to what could be fundamental flaws in Disney's conception of this new Aladdin. The new trailer can do little to offset the weirdness, but it does give us a peek at the banter between Smith and Mena Massoud (Jack Ryan), who plays the titular thief. The film's previous look had met with severe backlash over the computer-generated look of Will Smith as the blue-coloured Genie, with users across social media having a field day generating memes and Photoshop edits. Oh yeah, and the trailer (as well as a new poster) also reassures moviegoers that Smith won't be all blue, all the time, which means you can hold off on any more of those Arrested Development memes. Another added, "Thank you for saving the movie, Disney. So, I think people are going to love it". User Jordan Maison tweeted, "Amazing the difference a full trailer can make....definitely more interested in #Aladdin now". #WillSmith's blue genie looks awesome, and I'm ok with this new take on Jafar.

In this latest episode, we talk Arrow coming to an end, new Avengers: Endgame footage shown, a HUGE Captain Marvel discussion & so much more!

It's safe to say that the dubious public reaction to the first Aladdin trailer isn't exactly what Disney wished for. "Will Smith looks significantly better in this trailer!"

Aladdin also stars Navid Negahban (Homeland) as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad (Saturday Night Live) as Dalia, Billy Magnussen (Into the Woods) as Prince Anders, and Numan Acar (Homeland) as Hakim, Jafar's right-hand man and head of the palace guards.
