Jessica Simpson gives birth to baby girl

"We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our flawless daughter", she wrote.

Congrats are in order this evening folks, as Jessica Simpson has welcomed a new baby into the world.

Birdie was reportedly chosen because it is a family name, and the singer thought it sounded sweet.

Simpson and her husband announced they were expecting a girl in September 2018.

Neon letters over Simpson's head read "Birdie's Nest" at the shower.

For instance, she did her very own ten year challenge, which was hilarious. "10 Pounds 13 Ounces", she captioned the photo.

While carrying Birdie, Simpson continually updated fans on her hard pregnancy, which saw her hospitalized for bronchitis four times in two months.

Her size inspired online hate as Simpson told ET that eating frozen chicken nuggets had helped with her huge "shankles".

Simpson has been documenting her pregnancy on social media and announced the big news about baby No. 3 late a year ago.

As Radar previously reported, on January, Simpson startled onlookers by looking disheveled and ready to pop.

But despite her confusion over the new arrival, her children were "so excited" to be a big brother and big sister.

Simpson and Johnson are also parents to 5-year-old son Ace, telling PEOPLE last year that her kids have plenty of questions about the upcoming addition to their family that leave their parents laughing.
