Samsung's mid-range Galaxy A9 drops to $400

The first generation of folding smartphones is expected to come with some inherent problems, a display crease being one of them.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold on April 26th in limited quantities for $1,980.

Samsung has launched its latest smartphone in the A series. Samsung has not yet revealed any information about the global roll out of the smartphone.

The video, which appears to be a promotional content for a Vietnamese network-unlocking service, shows the Samsung Galaxy Fold in detail. Samsung Galaxy A40 may be powered by company's own octa-core Exynos 7885 processor under the hood.

Coming to the front of the smartphone, the Galaxy A20 sports a tall 6.4-inch AMOLED display panel. The native storage on the smartphone is expandable via microSD card to up to 512GB. Most importantly, in addition to the regular rear camera, the phone features an ultra-wide sensor, a telephoto shooter, and a depth camera, that let you benefit from a 2x optical zoom, depth of field adjustments, bokeh effects, and more.

Samsung has added a dual camera module consisting of a 12-megapixel f/1.9 primary sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel f/2.2 shooter. The notch up front is waterdrop style to accommodate the front camera for selfies and video calls.

"The Galaxy A9 has a 6.3" Full HD+ screen, a 3,800 mAh battery, a rear fingerprint scanner, 128GB of internal storage, 6 or 8GB of RAM, which are more than respectable specifications given the price. After launching the Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and the Galaxy A50 in India last month, the South Korean smartphone brand has now unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A20 in Russian Federation.

The phone runs Samsung One UI, which is based on Android 9 Pie operating system.
