Sarri on Hazard's Real Madrid links: Chelsea won't force him to stay

Sarri on Hazard's Real Madrid links: Chelsea won't force him to stay

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Thomas Tuchel, has laughed off claims from Real Madrid president, Florentino Perezm, that Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are among their summer targets.

On Monday, a club statement confirmed Solari's sacking and said, "The board of directors. agreed on the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as head coach of Real Madrid with immediate effect for the remainder of the season and the next three campaigns, until June 30, 2022".

However, the interest in Hazard remains for Perez, and the fact Zidane and the Belgian have a huge mutual respect - something they have spoken about - only seems to confirm the likelihood of a deal this summer.

What that decision is, we don't yet know, but the fact that the brilliant Belgian has still to sign the £300,000 a week contract Chelsea offered him previous year, and shows no sign of doing so soon, gives us a clue.

Eden Hazard is determined to join Real Madrid this summer following the return of Zinedine Zidane.

Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when they travel to Dynamo Kiev in the return leg of their Europa League last 16 clash on Thursday night. You know my opinion.

And the other huge factor in the Hazard scenario is that unless Chelsea can get their imminent two window transfer ban frozen temporarily in the Court of Arbitration in Sport, they will not be able to sign players to replace him in the summer.

Chelsea's confidence of keeping Hazard has been receding for months, with the Belgium worldwide having made no attempt to hide his attraction to Madrid while spurning Chelsea's attempts to reopen talks over a contract extension that would make him the highest-paid player in their history.

"I had many opportunities to leave and I made a decision to stay to make my own story and win the Champions League here".

Unfortunately, his brilliance has not been enough to inspire Chelsea to a Premier League title charge and securing a place in the top four come May is now their main ambition.
