Tom Izzo gets heated with Aaron Henry, has to be restrained

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo had to be restrained and calmed down by two of his players during a timeout in the Spartans' NCAA tournament opener against Bradley.

He made his feelings very clear.

To add insult to injury, Michigan State didn't even get the top #2 seed as Tennessee even though the Vols did not win their conference regular season title or the SEC conference tournament title, was awarded the top #2 seed.

But after the players huddled up around Izzo moments later, the coach became enraged with Henry all over, only this time it took several players to contain him. Despite the fact that the Spartans were on a 10-0 run to go up 44-39 early in the second half, Izzo saw something (s) he didn't like out of Henry that apparently warranted this reaction.

"I get a kick out of you guys, get after somebody because you are trying to hold them accountable", he told reporters. But I tell you what, if I was a head of a newspaper and you didn't do your job, you'd be held accountable.

This was obvious by Izzo's actions toward Aaron Henry.

No. 2 seed Michigan State escaped an upset bid from Bradley on Thursday. I did get after (him) and he did respond and he did make a couple big buckets ... but that's not good enough.

Izzo wasn't pleased with Henry's effort during a defensive sequence and felt the need to address that.

Izzo has coached his players hard throughout his extensive coaching career.
