Facebook and its Signature App Were down for More Than Two Hours

Facebook had an outage of over 24 hours last month, which is its longest ever.

Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 and Instagram in 2012.

Facebook Inc. suffered its third major outage this year, with users across the world unable to access the social network or its suite of services such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. The issues affected users in Asia, Europe and the US, according to the site.

Even a Facebook spokesman declined to give a reason for the toaster, but said the issue has been resolved and the company apologized for any inconvenience.

On Sunday, Downdetector.com indicated that there were more than 12,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook at its peak. Social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp are used every minute all over the globe by thousands of people making them the most impactful and appreciated applications globally. Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, have started working at around 9AM ET. There have been many occasions in which Facebook faced issues with its servers and users have been affected.

Although Facebook.com had declined to comment on the latest incident, real-time map of Downdetector.com had shown that the problems had mostly hit the users of Europe and Asia.
