Honor 20 Series to be announced on May 21

The Honor 20 will be with us on 21 May.

Looking at the launch invite we can say that the device or devices are going to be focused on the camera.

In the launch poster, the date was written as "444+4x4x4+(4+4)/4+44/4" that sums to 521, i.e. 21st of the fifth month - May 21, 2019. This year Honor View 20 change the things by being better Huawei counterpart. Additionally, the Honor 20 can be expected to be a flagship smartphone with top of the line HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, triple rear cameras (48MP + 20MP + 8MP) on the rear.

The Honor 8S is expected to begin shipping in Germany and other markets "soon".

It's interesting that sub-brand Honor has made a decision to follow parent company Huawei's recent naming convention by replacing last year's excellent Honor 10 with the Honor 20 in the same way that the P10 was replaced by the P20 and then P30 (and the Mate 10 by the Mate 20).

The teaser does not give many hints about the specifications of the Honor 20i. There are rumours favouring Honor 20, Honor 20 Lite, Honor 20 Pro or Honor 20A/C/X.

Honor 20 is rumoured to feature 6.1-inch display along with in-display fingerprint sensor. However, now we may end up witnessing a quad-camera setup on the rear. The smartphone is backed up by a 3,400mAh battery. On the front, we could also see a 32 MP camera and it might come with a display cutout setup.

Last year, The Honor 10 came with a similar but less premium design as Huawei P20 pro. It also supports Super Charge for fast charging so you can get 55% battery level within 30 minutes of charge. So, stay tuned for further updates from Honor Malaysia regarding the new triple camera phone on this coming Wednesday, 17 April. The Honor 20i is rumored to feature a 6.21-inch Full HD+ display with a dewdrop notch, 32MP selfie camera, and Kirin 710 processor.
