Infinity Ward and Respawn co-founder Jason West has joined Epic Games

This is according to a tweet from Geoff Keighley. Jason West, co-founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment, has apparently been quietly hired by the company. Geoff Keighley broke the news via Twitter.

Whatever it is that West and the team at Epic Games are working on, they will all be hoping that the game can be as successful as Fortnite. West was also at Respawn for part of Titanfall's development. Earlier he was the co-founder and president of most famous Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward. West left Zampella in charge of Respawn in 2013, and it was not made clear where his next work would be.

While we haven't heard directly from Epic Games about this matter (and we might not for some time) the thought of West now working with the company is an interesting one. Fans are very interested in seeing what West and the creative minds at Epic Games could work on together. Even though Epic is now known for the mega-hit Fortnite, they'll surely continue to make more titles in the future, especially with how much revenue Fortnite has brought in for the company.

West left the company not long after he and Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella settled their lawsuit with Activision. Epic will continue to make more games in the future, but with West tagging along, who knows what'll come out next?
