OnePlus 7 launch date likely to be announced today

OnePlus makes just one phone which helps the company optimize it to perfection and it even has a big, separate team dedicated to shaving off every millisecond of lag and stutter. Looks like we won't have to wait long. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau on Monday hinted at confirming the final launch date of the device in a tweet.

Based on the renders concocted by Pricebaba, the standard OnePlus 7 model will be virtually indistinguishable from the OnePlus 6T.

Will Lau reveal the official launch date of OnePlus 7 or give a peek at the phone's design or give away a major feature that will build more hype.

The OnePlus 7 Pro might have a third lens on the back. The company chief briefly addressed the topic during his address at the European Institute of Design in Milan last week.

Some tipsters have said that the OnePlus 7 would be launched on May 14.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully OnePlus still maintains its reputation as the price to performance kings. Rumours are suggesting that there will be three devices in the OnePlus 7 line-up, a first for the company that casts doubt on the iterative end-of-year T-variants we're used to seeing. The Chinese smartphone maker is also believed to be planning to introduce a pair of truly wireless earbuds alongside the OnePlus 7 smartphone. The phones could come with 16MP or 32MP motorized pop-up selfie cameras. You can also expect at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It's also expected to come with a $569 price tag. The 5G variant's support the latest 5G band is naturally understood.

The company is likely to ditch the traditional remote control for the TV, instead use AI for most of the functions. Artificial intelligence from this point of view can do wonderful things and is maturing very quickly.

Until the beginning of Amazon's Fab Phones Fest, these variants were respectively selling for Rs 37,999, Rs 41,999 and Rs 45,999. Stay tuned for more updates.
