OnePlus 7 Pro rumoured to launch in May with two other variants

After recently "confirming" a vague and somewhat predictable May launch window, rising Twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal claims he has every reason to expect the OnePlus 7 series out around the world on the 14th of next month. To recall, OnePlus 6 was launched on May 16 a year ago and next day it was unveiled in India.

The regular OnePlus 7 model is expected to be smaller than the OnePlus 7 Pro, while it may also ship with a flat display, we'll see.

PS: Still not 100% Sure, maybe for development only. The tweeted info was in Mandarin with the tagline "Go Beyond Speed". That leaves us with one month exactly. Now, it looks like OnePlus does not seem to be limited to smartphones anymore. Apart from the 48-MP sensor, the rear camera will also feature a wide-angle camera and a depth sensor/TOF sensor. The event date falls in line with the company's flagship launch previous year held on May 16.

That's hardly surprising considering what the competition is up to, but also because we're finally getting 5G phones this year, and OnePlus wants to be one of the first companies on the market with a 5G device.

This probably won't be the proper OnePlus 7 announcement, so don't get your hopes up for that. As per various leaks and rumors it is expected that company might launch three variants of the smartphone. The hands-on image showcased a curved display and key specs on the about section of the phone.

The OnePlus 7 is expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 855 processor and have up to 10 GB of RAM. The OnePlus 7 will again come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and will have an impressive screen-to-body ratio. There is not much information about the upcoming OnePlus TV but in interaction with students at the European Institute of Design, Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO, has revealed a few details about the OnePlus TV.
