Xbox Live subscriptions are getting more expensive in the United Kingdom next month

Microsoft has announced that the price of an Xbox Live Gold membership in the United Kingdom will rise by 25% from May, 2019.

For those with an active subscription, the new pricing won't be put into place until 7 August. Will you be stocking up on Xbox Live like many people in the gaming community are suggesting?

Users could soon see Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live combined for a cheaper subscription offer.

Sources have independently confirmed the existence of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in the past to TechRaptor, albeit under another name.

Also, don't forget that Microsoft has been promoting its Xbox Game Pass for a monthly subscription service, with access to more than 100 Xbox games. Xbox owners can often get deals on annual and three-month subscriptions to Gold, making Ultimate more of a savings if you're going month to month or prefer a bit of convenience. The blocky builder joined Microsoft's subscription service today, bringing another Microsoft Studios title under its banner.

Microsoft may be offering a unified package for Xbox users subscribing to both Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass.

The Gold bundle also offers up to 4 free games to download every month, plus varying discounts for the Xbox Store. Though, based on Microsoft's attempts to treat Xbox and Windows 10 nearly as one with Play Anywhere, this seems counter-productive.

Going forward, any time new content updates are released for Minecraft, Xbox Game Pass members will have immediate access to them.
