Google's New Site Trips Features All the Travel-Related Plans

"As you plan a trip, your research and reservations will be organised for you in Trips", says Google's head of travel product management, Richard Holden, in a post on Google's blog.

Google is upgrading its travel product in a bid to offer users better trip research and coordination, and to raise its income from advertisers.

When you visit that page, you'll see your upcoming trips organized based on plane or hotel reservations that they have been able to cull from your Gmail account.

The best feature of Google Trip will be that it will stop you from switching between mobile and laptop for your bookings.

Some highlights include the Google AI assistant and abilities, Android Q Beta 3, new Google aspects for the different apps (Google Play Store and Maps) and its search engine and the new Pixel 3 smartphone line.

Google has long had a number of travel-related services. However, there are some search topics where you get every information from Google.

Google has brought its simplified travel planning system to the desktop, integrating flights, hotels, and ideas for actives into a single, comprehensive hub.

It also pits the company against the popular TripIt service, which already automatically processes bookings forwarded to a dedicated email address, and which can be integrated into Google Calendar. Google Hotels does something similar for places to stay. When in Rome, for example, Google Maps will not be content with simply pointing out places to see, restaurants to try, and things to do.

Google tracks your recent searches, saved places and flights and adds them automatically to your trips if you're signed into your Google Account, and Google plans to add items you viewed and saved, including hotels, to your trips so you don't have to reinvent the wheel or keep track of all the details yourself.

Google may be commonly used as a verb for looking for information, but in the online travel world the technology giant isn't a go-to destination like Expedia, Priceline and TripAdvisor.
