PS Plus Free Games UPDATE as PlayStation Dauntless release news is revealed

Inspired by Monster Hunter, Dauntless will launch on PC, via the Epic Game Store, along with PS4 and Xbox One.

Dauntless spent months in closed, buy-in alphas, before an open beta was made available roughly a year ago.

Massive Campaign Rework - Everything from questing and crafting to meeting other Slayers and pursuing Behemoths has received massive updates. Each Behemoth and weapon has its own unique Mastery card for players to delve into.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Dauntless when it goes live on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Epic Game Store on May 21, grab some friends (or make new ones along the way), dive into the hunt, and see for yourself. These fearless warriors fight for humanity's survival against ferocious beasts known as Behemoths, whose savage hunger to drain the very essence, or aether, from the world puts every life at risk. Developers Pheonix Labs are also planning to bring the game to the Switch and mobile devices in the future. As Slayer, it's up to you to hunt the monstrous Behemoths who are devouring the world.

Various new improvements are also coming to Dauntless.

Since the game has been in early access for some time it'll properly launch with season five alongside of a new "hunt pass", which is basically the battle pass program (leveling up in the pass system unlocks cosmetics and currency) that every game has now following Dota 2 and Fortnite's popularization of the concept. They are waiting for you: regular updates, seasonal events, new Behemoths and much more in a rich and ever-changing world.
