Redmi Note 7S India Launch: Full Specifications, Price, Availability

Xiaomi now offers Redmi Note 7 Pro with 48-megapixel rear camera. The phone could come as a superior variant of the India Redmi Note 7 version that arrived alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro earlier this year. So, the company might launch Redmi Note 7 as 7S. Looking at the teaser image, which is accompanied in Jain's tweet, we also know that the Redmi Note 7S will also feature a dual-rear camera setup.

Looking at its popularity, Redmi chose to keep the Note 7 on open sale in April.

Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain in a tweet posted on Friday revealed that the Redmi Note 7S would be the next 48-megapixel camera phone in the Redmi Note series in the country.

Up until now, we can expect Xiaomi to bring similar set of design and other internals for the Redmi Note 7S as the already launched Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro.

If our speculations become true, the Redmi 7S will come with a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340X1080 pixels) dot notch display with Gorilla Glass protection.

The company is yet to confirm the processor, but it may run on the same chipset as Redmi Note 7, the Snapdragon 660 chip.

Assuming It: Why Suddenly Redmi Note 7S?

A few months ago, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in the Indian market.

In terms of optics, the Redmi K20 is rumored to come with a triple rear camera with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP telephoto camera.

Besides that, the Redmi Note 7S could be running Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10.

Both Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro are selling in great numbers for the company. It's expected to be fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4.0. The announcement comes right on the heels of an analysis from Counterpoint Research which showed that Realme 3 managed to beat Xiaomi's Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro to become the best-selling smartphone in the online retail segment.
