Ubisoft's Skull & Bones Delayed Again, Skipping E3 2019

The company said in its full-year 2018-19 earnings statement that the game, which was delayed last year into the 2019-20 fiscal year, has now been pushed to sometime after that.

Ubisoft has today made it their turn to go through their financial results for the year, and to predict what will happen over the next financial year. While the publisher's most recent games in four franchises have produced unbelievable results, the biggest news came from the future games that are in their portfolio.

As for Skull & Bones, the reason it is not expected to release until after March 2020 is due to the fact that Ubisoft's pirate game has been delayed past Ubisoft's 2019-2020 fiscal year, which began on April 1, 2019 and will end on March 31, 2020.

First unveiled in 2017, Skull & Bones was playable to press and the public at E3 the following year. "We believe in our vision for the game, while also making sure the voice of our community is being heard", Ubisoft tweeted. We played it two years ago, and it was good at the time. Ubisoft hasn't really promoted it much since its reveal a couple years ago.

"We're going to batten down the hatches and push back on the game's arrival-this is a challenging news for us all, but it's what's needed to make Skull & Bones as awesome as it can be!" One of those is Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Watch Dogs 3? Splinter Cell?
