Here's How Much Bryan Singer Is Paying to Settle Rape Claim

"Mr. Singer has denied even knowing this individual, let alone allegedly having interacted with him more than 15 years ago", the attorney at Lavely & Singer, no relation, added.

The accuser, Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, filed his lawsuit against Singer back in December 2017, in which he alleged that the director had sexually assaulted him during a yacht party in Seattle. Singer has denied the allegations.

Reportedly, Singer and his attorney agreed to pay the man's estate, $150,000, that way Sanchez-Guzman can pay off creditors as well as other administrative costs.

An agreement between Singer's attorneys and the bankruptcy trustee was reached on Wednesday. The trustee reopened the claim in 2018 because the possibility of a payout from the sexual assault lawsuit was not listed as one of Sanchez-Guzman's potential assets. The outlet went on to report that if the settlement is approved by the court, Sanchez-Guzman's lawsuit will be dismissed. The lawyer also noted that Singer has never been arrested for or charged with any crime. Variety says the bulk of those claims represent student loan debt, and Sanchez-Guzman will get $150,000. Some of the money will pay legal fees and some will pay creditors Sanchez-Guzman owed in bankruptcy court. Sanchez-Guzman isn't the only person to make claims against Mr. Bryan Singer, as there have been other accusations made by men who were young boys at the time. "The settlement will relieve the debtor of a significant nondischargeable debt". Sanchez-Guzman filed a lawsuit against Singer in December 2017, just days after the director was sacked from Bohemian Rhapsody.

An amount of $61,000 will go to creditors, while additional funds would be used to pay for the administration of the case. More recently, Millennium Films had hired Singer to direct "Red Sonja", but plans to shoot the film in Bulgaria this year were canceled.
