Rain forced NASCAR to postpone the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway to Monday. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide radio coverage.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup race will be run at 5 p.m. ET, a later start than normal for a Monday race, because rain is expected earlier in the day in the area.

The 36 drivers who were set to compete in the FireKeepers Casino 400 took to the track for the pace laps in attempt to get the race underway after the initial rain delay, but the pace vehicle ended up leading them back down pit lane, much like what it did on Sunday, May 5 at Dover International Speedway before that race was postponed.

Track-drying briefly resumed, but inclement weather continued to halt the process.

Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace and Corey LaJoie passed the time during the rain delay by throwing a football, eventually lobbing it into the grandstand and playing catch with fans who braved the rain.

Ford drivers Joey Logano and Aric Almirola will start from the front row. Last year, Clint Bowyer scored a rain-shortened win in a race that was called after 133 of the scheduled 200 laps. Biffle will hop in and take the wheel of the the #51 Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
