Pokemon Sword and Shield: 2 New Galar Region Pokemon Revealed - E3 2019

The games included in the initial press release are: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Luigi's Mansion 3, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order - and that's about it for the named titles. And it does seem as if this is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild. Tongue-in-cheek action game No More Heroes 3, from Tokyo's Grasshopper Manufacture, was also announced for 2020.

Nintendo has not yet confirmed that we'll be seeing Animal Crossing Switch at this year's E3 2019.

The Legend of Zelda made three appearances, first in the form of a remake.

Nintendo's next Zelda game will be a "full sequel" to 2017's landmark Breath of the Wild, a Switch launch game that put strong emphasis on gameplay and exploration over graphics.

The teaser trailer had Link and Zelda journeying underground while the creepy soundtrack sounded like it was being played in reverse. On top of revealing the game's upcoming release date, we also learned more about the Limited Edition and Dreamer Edition versions of the game. Nintendo's key releases for the end of 2019, Pokémon Sun and Shield, out on 15 September, had already been shown off previous to this week's E3 conference, but are playable by attendees on the show floor.
