Real Madrid confirm signing of Takefusa Kubo from Tokyo FC

Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Takefusa Kubo from FC Tokyo. The Japanese youngster will pen a six-year deal with the club where he will play with Castilla under the orders of Raul Gonzalez.

The talanted playmaker was offered a pre-contract by the Spanish club after exelling in the academy between for three years but after the incident he moved back to Japan where his meteoric rise continued at FC Tokyo.

Real Madrid are set to continue their summer spending with the arrival of Japanese starlet Takefusa Kubo.

The player will represent the club's Castilla side for one season before moving into the first-team in the same manner as Vinicius Jr had agreed upon his transfer in the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

The attacking midfielder has been on a hot scoring streak recently the J. League first division, netting four goals across his last four games this season, but now has a chance to make a much bigger splash for one of the world's most prestigious teams.

Kubo had previously been at Barcelona's La Masia for four years between 2011 and 2015 but the club had to release the then 14 year old.

Kubo is now training with the Japanese national side preparing the Copa America tournament in Brazil and has scored four goals in his last four J-League matches.

Kubo is now with the Japan squad for this month's Copa América.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-German were also rumored to be in the running to secure the services of Kubo, who is now free to move after turning 18 on June 4.
