Vodafone Ireland investigation 'potential disruption' to services

Vodafone customers all over Europe, including the UK, Ireland, Italy and Spain are now experiencing issues with the provider.

"This issue has now been fully resolved and normal service has been restored to customers".

It is understood the company is re-routing internet traffic to get around the problem.

Reports on the DownDetector website indicate that subscribers in the UK, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Germany are among those affected.

Problems were first reported before 3pm United Kingdom time, according to the outage reporting network Down Detector.

Vodafone is working to fix a fault which has affected some customers' access to its mobile data and broadband services.

"This situation is already in the resolution phase".

Vodafone says they're now investigating, and have thanked customers for their patience.

The firm recently announced that it would introduce 5G in seven United Kingdom cities in July, following EE's launch at the end of May.
