Beyoncé features top Nigerian musicians in new 'Lion King' album

Beyoncé curated soundtrack titled "The Lion King: The Gift" features new songs performed by multiple artists including some of Africa's biggest stars like Mr. Eazzi, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy and other great artists from the continent.

The Gift cover art, produced by Beyonce. It is a 14-track album and many Nigerian stars got the opportunity to be featured on some of the tracks. Ghanaian and Nigerian producers, also produced some of the songs and on Beyonce's album.

The album boasts of several African stars like Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Moonchild Sanely, Tekno among some other global stars.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior has been featured in the Lion King, the Gift Album which is to be released this Friday, July 19th by American Singer, songwriter and actress Beyonce.

Wizkid is featured on a song titled, 'Brown Skin Girl, ' alongside Beyonce's first child, Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce and Saint Jhn. Tiwa Savage and Mr. Eazi featuring independently on 'Keys To The Kingdom'.

Other African acts on "The Lion King: The Gift" notably are Moonchild Sanelly, Busiswa, Salatiel and Shatta Wale often in collaboration with the other artists on the album. "I wanted it to be authentic about what is lovely about the music in Africa", she said.

Meanwhile, had earlier reported that Nigerian singer Burna Boy now trended on social media after he revealed in a recent interview that Ghana is the only place he enjoys peace.
