Bun recall involves Walmart, Sam's Club, Aldi, others

The buns were distributed to several states, including Virginia. Eating the bread may cause a choking hazard. This segment offers its products primarily under the Nature's Own, Dave's Killer Bread, Tastykake, Wonder, and Cobblestone Bread Company brand names.

No related injuries or illnesses have been reported.

The buns were made by Flowers Foods of Thomasville, Ga., and have "best-by" dates of July 18 and July 19.

The recalled items were distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

The buns - packed in either eight-count or 12-count packages - were sold at several stores across the country including 7-Eleven, Aldi, Publix, Sam's Club and Walmart. Front Row Advisors LLC's holdings in Flowers Foods were worth $1,641,000 as of its most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Flowers Foods had a return on equity of 15.85% and a net margin of 4.28%.

The company discovered the plastic contamination in its production equipment.
