A great end to the weekend; a couple unsettled days this week

High temperatures should reach into the middle 80s.

A few chances exist for storms Saturday night into Sunday, the weather service said. It still looks like the best chance for widespread rain comes late Monday into Monday night.

Low temperatures will be refreshingly cooler heading into Saturday night - Sunday morning with many towns starting off in the 50s.

Friday: Mostly sunny and a little hotter with highs in the upper 80s. Some storms could have areas of heavy rain and small hail in addition to strong wind gusts and lightning. Depending on the timing of the storms, severe weather is possible, with damaging wind, hail, and a tornado all possible threats. We'll be left with a partly cloudy sky through the rest of the day with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

A cold front will move through the area Monday night, bringing one more chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 70 and an east southeast wind of 3 to 5 miles per hour, according to the weather service.

Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy.

Tuesday, Aug. 13 will start out mostly cloudy on a day in which the high temperature will be in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon.

Fri: High: 92 Low: 70 Mostly sunny.
